The Vortex Style Pre-filter is installed in the ground at the same water level as the pond skimmer. A small flagstone about 20” in diameter can easily camouflage the filter. The cleaning of the Vortex Style Pre=filter is as easy as turning a valve to flush the bottom of the filter and hand cleaning three small progressive filter pads.

It is very important to note that when using any Bottom Drain with a rubber liner, the ground underneath the liner must be perkable or all ground water drained away to prevent the liner and drain from floating.
