The efficency of any biological waterfall filter is determined in part by mechanical skimmer pre-filtration. We at Flowranger agree that there are three important characteristics to a good skimmer pre-filter. Fish friendly design, ability to camoflauge, and easy installation. Rangermate skimmers are not manufactured with a weir flap as all other competing skimmer lines. The Rangermate skimmer has a large surface water inlet and a unique debris basket which allows fish to swim in and out without being trapped. The simple compact design allows quick and easy installation for the contractor.

Constructed of engineering-grade polyethylene. This skimmer has a consistent 1/4” wall throughout.

We at Flowranger agree that there are three important characteristics to a good skimmer pre-filter. Fish friendly design, ability to camoflauge, and easy installation. Rangermate Skimmers are not manufactured with a weir flap, as most competing skimmer lines are. We do not utilize a weir flap because it allows a large amount of surface water to pass through two layers of solids capturing media. When the weir flap is removed, the option of using rock décor provides an inconspicuous look. The Rangermate Skimmer line has a large surface water inlet and a unique debris basket which allows fish to swim in and out without the risk of being trapped. The distinctive cylindrical shape of our skimmers makes for a simple, compact design, thus allowing quick and easy installation for the contractor.
