The patent pending design of the Flowranger® waterfall filters enables any homeowner to direct the flow to both the bottom and top inlet ports of the waterfall filter. This design makes for a simple way to flush pond water down through your media in an effort to break away the excess buildup of detritus. The innovative Flowranger® inlet-port placement also makes for a very effective bypass configuration. Essentially, one can adjust a desired flow rate through the biological media for the bacteria's benefit while still sending flow through the backwashing harness to maintain a vigorous flowing waterfall. The days of the "just drainable backwash and full speed ahead through the bacteria media" are over!

Improved filtration technologies. Increased performance. The FR1500 is the most popular waterfall filter for use in small to mid-sized pond jobs. While other filter manufacturers utilize a few high-density filtration media pads and lava rock , Flowranger® employs a full chamber of Matala®, a progressive density system that avoids problems created by too dense of a bottom layer media . When a filter media clogs, water begins to channel, the result is a dysfunctional filtration system. When implemented with the FR1500, the progressive layers of Matala® filter media act as a solid filtering vessel and biological filter.

Improved Value. The FR5000 was designed with the flow-hungry in mind. This waterfall filter uses the same advanced filtration technology as the FR3500 but has even more Matala media. The Flowranger 5000 is a fully back-washable unit requiring very little maintenance. Constructed of engineering grade polyethylene, this rigid filter has a consistent 3/8” - 1/2“ wall thickness throughout.
